A dream is a wish your heart makes...

Hello there!

I have decided, after deliberations, to just talk about the Disney Princesses... unfortunately there are so many movies and I really just want to focus on the Disney Prince (the ones having Men or a male character as the focal point, such as the Lion King) and Disney Princesses (hopefully you know who they are...)

So there you are! Never the less I will continue to talk about these films!
Therefore, the next film on the docket is the classic...Cinderella

Again I'm going to do this in a point format so that it's easier to follow...

1. Released in 1950

2. Based on a fairy tale called Cendrillon by Charles Perrault

3. Was the first 'full-bodied' production since Bambi, meaning that Disney hired live models to help create the characters and their mannerisms.

4. Cinderella was 'played' by two people...Helene Stanley (Cinderella's live-action model) and Ilene Woods (Cinderella's voice actor)...both provided ample characterizations for the animated princess.

5. Prince Charming (that's his legit character name...) originally had a larger role and more character development in the first draft but his scenes were cut because they were too long....

6. There were a couple of scene's cut from this movie as well as a musical number where Cinderella was supposed to imagine she was an army of maids so that she could get the chores done before the ball. Unfortunately, they were cut due to time constraints and Disney, himself, was concerned for the audience's sympathy for the scullery maid.

7. This movie was the second in the Princess Legacy and if you were a little girl you knew that you had a fairy Godmother and she'd help you get to the ball and you'd find Prince Charming!

8. Disney has made 2 sequels called Cinderella  II : Dreams Come True and Cinderella III : A Twist in Time.
I love this movie because it shows that you can change your life and find happiness, all the while thwarting those ugly step sisters and that wicked step mother...

There have been many other versions made of this story also

1. Julie Andrews played the original Cinderella in the 1st live action film

2. Brandy played a more recent version- in the multicultural version, along with Whoopi Goldberg,Whitney Huston, Jason Alexander, Victor Garber, and Bernadette Peters.

3. Ever After was also based on the fairy tale and hosted Drew Barrymore and Anjelica Houston.

Well that's it for Cinderella...This movie is timeless...

The next Disney Princess is...Sleeping Beauty!!
